Trinda Brookins Rabon

Beaufort, SC  – Trinda Brookins Rabon, 54, entered into rest early Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015 at her residence.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church in Edgehill, Georgia with Rev. Ronnie Dixon officiating.

Trinda was born in Beaufort, South Carolina to the late Vera Walden Brookins and the late Roy Brookins.  She loved the country life at her parents' “lodge” in Edgehill where they came as often as possible, spending many weekends and summers. Trinda was a Baptist by faith and loved her Lord and Savior. She was an animal lover and enjoyed riding her motorcycle. Trinda loved her family beyond words and was happiest in their presence. Her loving spirit and generous heart will be greatly missed.

Trinda was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Brookins Lamb. Her survivors include her daughter, Linda Canavan and her husband, Jerry; her son, Santee Rabon; a brother, Roy Brookins, and his wife, Lucinda; three grandchildren, Malaki Hardison, Kalliope Canavan, and Narissa Canavan; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in Beaufort SC from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Copeland Funeral Service located at One Copeland Drive.

The family will receive friends in Georgia from 6:00-8:00PM on Friday, June 19, 2015 at James Funeral Home.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church, c/o Annette Black, 6263 Euphrates Church Rd, Edgehill GA   30810.
