Tina Marie Landrum, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, transitioned into her eternity at her earthly home early Thursday morning, August 29, 2024. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00PM Sunday afternoon, September 1, 2024 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Owens officiating. The family will remain after the service to greet friends.
Born on January 4, 1957, in Houston, Texas, Tina's family relocated to Wrens in 1969, where she would spend the majority of her life. A graduate of Wrens High School in 1976, Tina met the love of her life during her high school years. They married on January 31, 1976, and together they built a loving home, cherishing their bond through all of life's seasons for an extraordinary 48 years.
Tina's career began shortly after her graduation, working diligently at various local companies, including Norton Lumber Company, The Big Top, Wrens City Hall, the IGA, and Gibson Nursing Home. Her unwavering dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She created a nurturing environment that served as a loving haven for her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Her first priority was always her family, as she dedicated herself to ensuring their well-being and happiness.
Known for her compassion and generosity, Tina was a nurturing figure in the community. She had a unique ability to connect with children and was always ready to lend a hand, whether it meant babysitting, driving them to school or dance classes, or simply providing support whenever it was needed. Tina was a vibrant spirit who never stood still for long; she filled her days with laughter, love, and an indomitable youthful attitude complemented by a quiet strength that inspired those around her.
Her interests were diverse and demonstrated her love for nurturing through creation. Tina enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, often creating delicious meals that brought everyone together. On quieter days, one might find her engrossed in a good scary movie or watching IDTV. Music also played a significant role in her life; she found much joy in listening to soul and R&B, which echoed the rhythms of love and connectivity she fostered in her family.
Tina was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Landrum; her father, Bobby Box; her mother, Brenda Joyce Leago Neveu; and her stepfather, Raymond Neveu. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Michael W. Landrum; her daughter, Kayla Landrum; and her cherished grandchildren, Brianna Landrum and Jaxon McBride. She is further survived by her two siblings, Lisa Burgess and Raymond Neveu Jr. (Vicki), along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her deeply.
Her legacy of love, humor, and dedication will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew her. As we remember Tina Marie Box Landrum, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a spirit that will forever remain in our cherished memories.
