Tammy Ann Bartlett Gaskins

Charleston, SC  -  Tammy Ann Bartlett Gaskins entered into rest Thursday morning, August 29, 2019 at her brother's residence in Augusta GA. A private gathering for the immediate family members will be held at James Funeral Home Friday afternoon, September 6, 2019. Her final resting place will be in a family plot at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Matthews GA.
The oldest of four children of the late Patricia Ann Bartlett Lee, Tammy was born in Waynesboro GA, but raised and lived most of her life in and around Charleston SC. She was baptized at Folly Beach United Methodist Church in South Carolina. Becoming a mother was her dream and her two sons were her pride and joy. She loved them both with all her heart. Tammy was known for her big heart, love of family, forgiving nature, and willingness to help others. She was passionate about genealogy, enjoyed web design, and reading mysteries. She also enjoyed cooking as she spent many years learning from Granny in the kitchen. Tammy was a loving sister who was always there for her siblings.
Tammy is preceded in death by her daughter, Vanna Amber; maternal grandfather, Thomas Benjamin “T.B.” Bartlett, known as Papa; and maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Arrington Bartlett, known as Granny.  She is survived by two sons, Billy Lee Harrison, III of Augusta GA and Jarrod Levi Harrison of Charleston SC, three siblings, Sharon Perdue White (Sean) of Tuscaloosa AL, William Scott Oliver of Augusta GA, and Anita Rae Moltzen of Aiken SC; and nieces, nephews, an aunt, an uncle, and cousins.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be in the form of a donation to your local mental health organization, and to plant a yellow flower.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
