Ruby Nell Langford Padgett

Mitchell, GA  –           Ruby Nell Langford Padgett, 88, loving wife of the late Theodore Vallee Padgett, went to meet her heavenly father Friday evening, April 12, 2019 at her residence.

Being outdoors, working in her yards and gardening, gave her much comfort and peace.  Fishing with her husband was another favorite pastime. A great cook, she loved to prepare meals for her family, a time she cherished.  Family was everything to Ruby—she loved unconditionally and made their home a comfortable, safe haven. Ruby was a precious and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Having a servant’s heart, she loved with all her heart, always putting others before herself.  To know her was to love her.  Ruby leaves quite a heritage of faith in her Lord Jesus Christ that she shared with all. Ruby was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Ruby was also preceded in death by her parents, Linnie Kirkland Langford and Jesse Langford; and two siblings, Eloise Burke and Shelby Langford. Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, David Padgett (Barbara), Susan Hudson (Donald), Linda Thompson (Wayne) and Sharlene Pickard (Ricky); four siblings, Betty Houbler, Jesse Langford Jr., Tommy Langford and Bill Langford; sixteen grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
