Louisville, GA

Rachel Symantha Simpson, 21, lovingly known as “Lulu” by her family and friends, born on September 13, 2003, passed away tragically on November 16, 2024, in an automobile accident. A lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Rachel lived in Bartow and Wadley before her family relocated to Louisville in 2016. She was a proud graduate of the Georgia Cyber Academy, having completed her education in 2022.

Rachel was known for being industrious and hard worker, having built a commendable work history with several local establishments, including MaxWay, Pizza Hut, and Sprint in Louisville. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by many, but it was her generous spirit and vibrant personality that truly set her apart. She was described as having a big heart, a sense of loyalty that made her a great friend, and a humor that brought joy to those around her.

An enthusiastic lover of life, Rachel had a special fondness for the beach, particularly Tybee Island and Savannah, where she found peace and solace. Time spent with her family was cherished, especially the Christmas Eve tradition of watching her favorite movie, The Polar Express, with her sister, Grayce, highlighting the special bond they shared.

Rachel leaves behind her parents, Amanda Blue Simpson and Christopher E. Simpson, and her three siblings, Jeremy Simpson, Raygan Simpson, and Grayce Simpson. She is also survived by her grandparents, Carol and Danny Simpson, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family members, and a wide circle of friends who will forever remember her warmth and radiant smile.

Rachel was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Deborah Wilcher, and her maternal grandparents, Gail Cheely Blue and Jeff Blue.
