Patsy Jeanette Sessoms Inglett

Wrens, GA  –              Patsy Jeanette Sessoms Inglett, 71, loving wife of the late Robert Shelton Inglett Sr., entered into her eternal rest Friday afternoon, May 26, 2017 at University Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held in the James Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday morning, May 30, 2017, with Reverend Carson Fellows officiating. Interment will follow in Wrens Memorial Gardens.

One of five children of the late Mary Edna Simmons Sessoms and the late Albert Lee Sessoms, Patsy was born in the Starling Clinic in Roseboro NC, and was raised in Peter’s Creek just a few miles away. After graduating from St. Paul’s High School, she attended Fayetteville Community College where she earned her associate’s degree in Office Management.  At the age of 19, an “almost” accident resulted in her meeting the love of her life, with marriage following before her 20th birthday and their moving to his home in Wrens.  Patsy soon began her career in the U.S. Office of Personnel Management at Fort Gordon, retiring with 35 years of service as a Congressional Correspondence Clerk.  Her first priority, however, was her family and making their home a safe haven of love and laughter. She had a knack for crafts which satisfied her artistic nature, and loved working outside in the yards and her flower garden.  She also found great pleasure in going fishing with Robert. In later years, one of her favorite places was Wal-Mart, sometimes going three or four times per week, or as often as she could convince someone of her need to go.  After her illness began in 2008, she relocated to Pineview Gardens in Evans, and then last year moved to Young’s Personal Care Home in Hephzibah.  Her favorite pastime was reading, especially the Bible which she read daily.  She loved Jesus, worshipping and serving him at Wrens Baptist Church and then at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. Patsy always looked for and found the good in other people.  Because of her quiet, unassuming nature, when she spoke people stopped to listen and take note of her words of encouragement, advice and/or correction. A loyal, considerate friend, she dedicated herself to her family, finding her greatest rewards through her children and grandchildren on whom she bestowed much love, which was returned to her many times over.  She felt truly blessed and is now in the presence of her Lord. Patsy’s death leaves a void that no one can fill, but her love leaves memories that no one can steal.

Patsy was also preceded in death by her sister, Lou Espey; niece, Jennifer Espey; and nephew, Billy Espey. Those left to mourn her passing include her three children, Robert Shelton Inglett Jr., Donna Inglett Bailey (Donnie) and Becky Inglett Waller (Tim); three siblings, W.A. “Bill” Sessoms (Melody), Edna Greenlaw (Bob) and Bobby Sessoms; four grandchildren, Robby Inglett, Ryan Inglett, Will Waller and Shelton Brynn Waller; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Espey,  Robby Inglett, Ryan Inglett, Jace McTier, Charlie Sessoms and Will Waller.

The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday evening, May 29, 2017.

Heartfelt gratitude is expressed to the staff of Pineview Gardens and Young’s Personal Care Home for their loving, compassionate care given to Patsy.

Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You believe in God, believe also in me.
My Father’s house has many rooms;
If that were not so, would I have told you that
I am going there to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for  you,
I will come back and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am.
John 14: 1-3 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that He gave His one
and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send His Son into the world
to condemn the world, but to save
the world through him.
John 3: 16-17 (NIV)
