A remarkable woman, Muguette’s life was marked by resilience and dedication, traits that she carried throughout her 89 years.
Growing up in France during the tumultuous period of German occupation, Muguette graduated from the French education system before relocating to the United States in 1960 due to military life. Her journey took her from Ft. Benning in Columbus, Georgia, to Ft. Gordon, where she eventually settled in Wrens in 1972. It was in this town that she would make a significant mark through her dedication to her family and community.
Muguette dedicated much of her early adult life as a devoted homemaker. However, her career took a notable turn when she and her husband, Randy, tackled the largest newspaper route for the Augusta Chronicle, working tirelessly for over 30 years. This role exemplified her strong work ethic and commitment to service, attributes that were mirrored in her personal life.
Known for her great sense of humor and straightforward demeanor, Muguette had a personality that resonated warmth and loyalty. She possessed a deep love for her family, embracing each member with affection and dedication. Her appreciation for life was reflected in her interests and hobbies. Muguette loved the outdoors, finding joy in tending to her flowers, growing blueberries, and birdwatching. She was an avid reader, indulging in a wide range of books, and enjoyed leisurely activities such as fishing and traveling. Shopping brought her delight, especially at Wal-Mart and Sam's. She often contributed great ideas for projects for her family that she loved to oversee.
Muguette is survived by her children: Catherine Adamson (David), Rose-Marie Keefe (David), Marc Archer, Dolores Prescott (Wylie), and Michelle McCoy (Fernandias). She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Dominic Adamson, Daniel Clanton, Brandon Clanton, Mindy Prescott-Wilcher, Kimberly Lee (Ethan), Heath Prescott (Brandie), Blake Prescott, Cynthia Herrington (Terrence), and Markus McCoy.
