Michael “Justin” Ziolkowski

Wrens, GA  –              Michael “Justin” Ziolkowski, 38, husband of Angel Lavallee Ziolkowski, entered into his eternal rest Monday, July 25, 2016 in Waynesboro. Services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Saturday morning, July 30, 2016 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Widener officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.

One of two children born to the late Robin Brewer Ziolkowski and the late Michael Ziolkowski, Justin grew up in and around Florence SC.  A talented painter and contractor, he worked all over Augusta and the CSRA. He was very artistic and loved to build things. Justin was a true outdoorsman--he had a passion for hunting and fishing; camping outdoors; and searching for and collecting arrowheads.  Everyone knew him as a grill master—he could make everything taste better on the grill and enjoyed cooking for people. Throughout all his troubles and trials, Justin steadfastly loved his family.

Justin is also preceded in death by his sister, Alysha Ziolkowski; maternal grandmother, Mary Lewis; and paternal grandparents, Helen and Frank Ziolkowski. Other survivors include his daughters, Kelsie Ziolkowski and Cami Grace Ziolkowski; two step children, Lauren Usry and Evin Usry; and his step grandfather, Arthur Lewis.

Because of their unexpected loss, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made directly to James Funeral Home, PO Box 588, Wrens GA  30833.

The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home prior to the funeral services—from 10:00-11:30 A.M., Saturday morning, July 30, 2016.

Gone Fishin’

I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
It won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ‘em I’ve gone fishin’.

Fisherman’s Prayer

God grant that I may live to fish for another shining day,
But when my final cast is made I then most humbly pray,
When nestled in your landing net as I lay peacefully asleep.
You’ll smile at me and judge that I am good enough to keep.
