Margaret Blackwell Bush
Stapleton, GA – Margaret Thelma Blackwell Bush, 96, peacefully entered into her eternal rest Wednesday morning, March 2, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville. Services to celebrate her life will be held at the Word Aflame Pentecostal Church, located at 7054 Clark Road, Stapleton, at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday afternoon, March 15, 2022 with Pastor Ben Bush officiating.
Because of the family’s respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during any gathering.
Margaret loved her job as dietician and supervisor for the Dietic Department at University Hospital, retiring after 42 years of service. The mother of courage, independent and great sacrifice, Margaret was a pillar of strength for her family whom she loved dearly. A beloved Mother and Nanny, she will be greatly missed.
Margaret is also preceded in death by two children, Patricia Roberson and Billy Blume; grandson, Richard Blume; parents, George Weldon Blackwell and Lillie Bryant Blackwell; and six siblings, George Blackwell, Bennie Blackwell, Gene Blackwell, Dorothy Thompson, Verle Parnell and Delores Summers. Those left to cherish her memories include her two sons, Dallas Blume Jr. (Kim) and Bennie N. Bush (Lisa); sister, Linda Fountain (Roger); six grandchildren, Charles Roberson, Teri Scott, Billy Blume Jr., Patricia Hobbs, Brittney Snyder (Russell) and Dallas Bush (Shelby); nineteen (19) great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family, church family and friends.
