Linda Nell Fullwood Windom, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, making a peaceful transition in to her eternity in Heaven. Private services to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
Born on February 7, 1958, in Jacksonville, FL, the family relocated to Swainsboro and later to the Wrens area. She attended grade school in Swainsboro before transferring to Wrens High School where she encountered the love of her life. Determined to prioritize her family, Linda decided to leave school early in order to marry and start a family, showcasing her commitment to those she held dear.
Known for her humorous nature and love for joking around, Linda was a warm and caring individual who dedicated herself to creating a loving home for her children and grandchildren. Renowned for her exceptional skills as a homemaker and cook, she ensured that her family was always well cared for. Her meticulous approach to housekeeping reflected her deep love for her family.
Linda found solace in serving Jesus as a member of the Gibson Church of God. Even after facing health challenges that led her to move in with her daughter in 2016, she remained faithful, attending the Kendall Heights Church of God.
Beyond her roles as a homemaker and mother, Linda worked for various local companies, including Stapleton Garment Company and Atwell Pecan Company. She indulged in various hobbies such as quilt-making and sewing. She found joy in watching soap operas while savoring sweet tea and had a particular fondness for classic westerns like Gun Smoke and The Rifleman.
Linda is survived by her loving daughter Joy Landrum (Wright) and three grandchildren, Jeremy Dickerson, Ariel Dickerson, and Triniti Landrum. Her memory will also be cherished by her mother, Elaine Radford Young, along with siblings Patty Fullwood, Dianne Newsome, Jimbo Fullwood, Jerry Fullwood, and Alvie Akridge. She was preceded in death by her son Freddie Windom Jr.; father, James LaFayette Fullwood; and siblings, Peggy Peebles, Betty Rae Reese, Jesse Crobsy, June Fullwood, Curtis Fullwood, and Janice Poole.
In addition to her immediate family, Linda's church family and friends will also treasure the time shared with her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May family and friends find comfort in the cherished memories Linda created and the unwavering love she bestowed upon those around her.
