Lena McClesky Rabun
Wrens, GA – Lena Grace McClesky Rabun, 89, loving wife of 66 years to the late John Judson “Juddy” Rabun, Sr., entered into rest Thursday morning, August 15, 2013, at Trinity Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stan Littleton and Rev. J. Scott McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in the Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
The only child born to the late Irene Kitchens McClesky and the late Andrew Newt McClesky, Lena was a lifelong resident of Wrens and a lifelong member of Wrens Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She graduated from high school in Wrens, attended the Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, and graduated with a BA degree in education from Augusta College, after which she taught school for 42 years teaching at Avera Elementary, Purvis School House and Wrens Elementary. Lena was a supportive wife to her husband who was Mayor of Wrens for 38 years. She was also a member of the John Franklin Wren Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR). She was a huge baseball fan and loved watching the Atlanta Braves. Lena’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandsons and their children.
Survivors include her son, John J. “Johnny” Rabun, Jr. (Cindy); three grandsons, Heath Rabun (Ashley), Chris Rabun (Jennifer) and Bryan Rabun (Amy); and nine great grandchildren, Gehrig, Maddux, Hunter, Cole, Ethan, Camille, Lily Grace, Madison and Baylor. Pallbearers will be Robert Chalker, Jimmy Fleming, Charles Milburn, Phillips Roberson, Jerry Weeks and William Wren.

The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home before the funeral services from 10:30AM til noon, Saturday morning, August 17, 2013.
