Kenneth Hubert Williford
Stapleton, GA – Kenneth Hubert Williford, 61, entered into rest Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Stapleton Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating. Interment will follow in Stapleton Memorial Garden Cemetery.
One of six children born to the late Hazel Scarber Williford and the late James Hubert Williford, Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, a graduate of Glascock County High School and an electrician by trade. Kenneth was very artistic and enjoyed carving, as well as working in his yard and gardening. A natural musician, he had a beautiful singing voice and played the piano, keyboard and guitar all by ear with no professional training. He loved playing for his friends and family. A practical, punctual, independent man who was a devoted son, a loving, thoughtful father and a dependable friend, Kenneth had a quiet demeanor with a witty sense of humor and a kind, loving, generous spirit. He loved his dogs as much as he did most people (and more than some) and provided homes to many strays. Any dog fortunate enough to wander into his heart knew they had found a true home. His greatest love, though, was for his family and he was most content when with his children and grandsons, who were his life and greatest joy.
Survivors include his children, Aquila Williford Wright (Kevin) of Dalton, Jamie Williford (Keisha), and Dixie Williford Pearson (Tom) of Deerfield IL; five siblings, Bonnie Manning (Buford), Everette Williford (Frances), Curtis Williford (Diana) of the Philippines, Connie Gay (Jim) and Susan Lamb (Anthony) of Gibson; five grandsons, Jackson Wright, Will Wright, Nate Williford, Ben Williford and Lucas Williford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be James Willoughby and the Backroads Band.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at James Funeral Home.

Young Life Cut Short
Do not judge a song by its duration
Nor by the number of its notes.
Judge it by the richness of its contents.
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most poignant…
Do not judge a song by its duration
Nor by the number of its notes.
Judge it by the way it touches and lifts the soul.
Sometimes those unfinished are among the most beautiful…
And when something has enriched your life,
And when its melody lingers on in your heart,
Is it unfinished?
Or is it endless?
