Keith Allen Hadden

August 19, 1964 — February 15, 2025

Gibson, GA

Surrounded by family, Keith Allen Hadden, a devoted son, loyal brother, loving father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Born on August 19, 1964, Keith was a lifelong resident of Glascock County and a proud graduate of Glascock County Consolidated School, class of 1982.

Throughout his life, Keith demonstrated a remarkable work ethic, dedicating himself not only to various jobs at local businesses but also to the family farm, where he truly thrived. He fervently worked to keep the farm in the family and to leave this legacy to future generations. His spirit was intrinsically linked to the land, finding solace in the quiet moments spent walking the property. This connection fostered a deep-rooted relationship with God, as he felt closer to Him during these peaceful times.

Keith was a simple, humble man, known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need, regardless of their acquaintance. He had an infectious personality that illuminated the lives of those around him, frequently bringing smiles to faces through his playful jokes and lighthearted teasing. A great man of faith, Keith accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a young age and grew up attending Reedy Creek Baptist Church, where his faith sustained him throughout his life.

Keith’s hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors and his passion for farming. He enjoyed dove shoots and took pride in being a John Deere enthusiast, often seen riding his “big green” tractor around the property. In his downtime, he found joy in watching westerns, particularly his favorite, Bonanza, and relished in hearty meals, particularly very rare steak and cabbage.

Family was his number one priority. Keith’s love and devotion for his family was beyond words. Affectionately known as “Pops” by his grandchildren, his greatest joy was riding them around and just being in their presence—they made his heart burst with love and pride.

His legacy continues through his beloved children, Sarah Hadden Kitchens (Joe), William Hadden (Gracie), and Zachary Hadden (Tia); his adoring grandchildren, Lane Allen Kitchens, Lakelan Max Kitchens, Lukas Vincent Hadden, and Brian Keith Hadden; his brother, Murray Hadden Jr. Keith; other extended family and a multitude of friends who cherished him dearly. Honored to serve as pallbearers include Danny Beckworth, Mike Lyons, Wade Mayo, Jeff McGahee, Dean Reese and Philip Wheeler and with Randy Usry serving as honorary pallbearer.

He was preceded in death by his parents,Faye Allen Hadden and Murray Eulen Hadden, as well as his maternal grandparents, Carrie Wren Allen and Eugene Allen, and paternal grandparents, Era Faglier Hadden and Eulen Otto Hadden.

The family will greet friends Thursday evening, February 20, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at James Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00PM Friday, February 21, 2025, in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Hadden officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Keith Allen Hadden leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and community service, and he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
