Louisville, GA  –        Johanna Unruh Toews, 94, of Horseshoe Road, Louisville, peacefully went home January 1, 2019.

Johanna was born in Halstead KS and married Nick Toews December 30, 1949. They lived in California until 1980 when they moved to Louisville.

An avid gardener with a green thumb and a talented seamstress are how she will be remembered.

She carried on with courage after Nick died in October, 2009. Now she has joined him and their son, Norman, in a better, eternal home.

Left behind are four children, Ronald and Frances Unruh, Laurence and Ling Toews, Annette Toews and J.B. and Susan Litwiller; seven grandchildren, Douglas and Ruthy Unruh, Regina and Kelly Friesen, Wesley and Melanie Unruh, Miriam and Jeffrey Isaac, Royce Unruh, Hanz Toews, and Matthew Litwiller; and eighteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Harmony Springs Mennonite Church from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Friday evening, January 4, 2019.  Funeral services will be in the church at 3:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon, January 5, 2019.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery
