Gloria Lane McCoy
Avera, GA – Gloria Leigh Lane McCoy, 57, loving wife of 36 years to Otis A. McCoy, entered into rest Monday morning, July 15, 2013 at her residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00PM Friday evening, July 19, 2013 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Edwards officiating.
Gloria was one of four children born to Evelyn Pierce Lane and the late Grady Lane in Millen where she grew up and graduated high school. After marrying, she moved to Davisboro and has lived in Avera for the past 25 years. She was employed at Thermo King in Louisville but because of multiple heath problems has not been able to work for the last several years. She did, however, love to shop—even if it was sometimes just window shopping. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. Her grandchildren were her focus and provided the joy in her life.
Gloria was also survived by her daughter, Macy Leigh Kitchens (Joey); three siblings, Grady Lane, Richard Lane (Tina) and Shannon Lane; two grandchildren, Gaven and Madalyn Kitchens; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home after the services Friday evening, July 19, 2013 from 6:45-7:45PM.

Legacy Of Love
A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
Yu taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife, not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So, go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.
