Blythe, GA  – Edward Lawson Holton, 70, loving husband of 44 yrs to the late Sara Hobbs Holton, entered into rest Friday morning, March 30, 2012 at his residence. Services will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Blythe with Rev. Bucky Halford officiating.  The family will receive friends after the services or at the residence
Edward was born to the late Mattie Arrington Holton and the late Euvee Holton and lived in Davisboro, then Wrens, and for the last 32 yrs, Blythe. He was a retired machinist and electric motor repairman. Edward liked to hunt, but he lived to fish. He loved his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Edward was also preceded in death by his step son, Timothy Glenn Silas Sr; and his siblings, James E. Holton, Marvin Holton, Valira Holton and Barbara Holton. Survivors include his children, Bonnie Holton Morris (Mark), Dr. Edward L. Holton Jr. (Patty) and Donald R. Silas (Marolyn); 8 siblings, Dorothy H. Josey (Ernest Lee), Gwendolyn Faye Swint (Louis), Joyce Holton May (Jimmy), Carolyn Holton, Alvin Holton, Henry Holton (Faye), Richard Holton (Patricia) and Wayne Holton; 10 grandchildren, James Holton, Matthew Holton, Brandn Morris Jenna Morris, Marie Stewart, Donald Silas, Jr., Stacy Silas, Tm Silas Jr., Casey Skinner and Brittny Skinner; 5 great grandchildren, Jade Stewar, Phillip Stewart Jr., Dylan Silas, Devon Silas and Cameron Silas; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the family to assist with expenses and mailed to Bonnie S. Morris, 2419 Hoods Chapel Rd, Blythe GA 30805.
