Donald Chad Wimer
Swainsboro, GA – Donald Chad Wimer, 46, loving son of Sandra Spear Wimer and Edwin Lee Wimer, entered his eternal home on Wednesday morning, August 12, 2015 from Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:30PM Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Praising Him Ministries with Pastors Richard Stavely, Sr., and Cindy Glover officiating.
Born in Thomasville, Donald spent most of his life in Georgia, but he had lived at times in New York and Florida. No matter where he lived, he was always a “Georgia boy” at heart. He had a natural talent for music, as well as cooking and gardening. Since 2000, he was plagued with many medical issues including kidney failure, dialysis, brain aneurism, and kidney transplant—he always kept a positive attitude and suffered through his medical hardships without complaint. Some knew him as “Donald”; others knew him as “Chad”; but all knew him as friend. His great love for his family and friends was shown outwardly through his generous spirit and contagious smile.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Wimer; and his step-daughter, Cindy Wessner. Other survivors include his children, Toby Keith Sellers of Swainsboro, and Traci Jean Sekulovski of Macedonia Greece; granddaughter, JoJo Sekulovski; and siblings, Bartram Wimer and Kimberly Wimer; many other relatives and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends at Praising Him Ministries after the services on Sunday, August 23, 2015.
Because of the financial burden of an extensive, prolonged illness, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to James Funeral Home, PO Box 588, Wrens, GA 30833.
