Debra Elizabeth Norris Myers
Wrens, GA – Debra Elizabeth Norris Myers, 64, peacefully entered into her eternal rest Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Augusta University Medical Center. The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon, November 6, 2022 at James Funeral Home. A private interment will follow in the Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
Debra was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and a 1976 graduate of Wrens High School. Her work history includes Stapleton Garment Company, Ruth’s and several local enterprises but will be most remembered as a sales associate for the Jet convenient stores, the last one being Store # 67 in Matthews from which she retired in 2017 due to her failing health. Since 2017, Debra has had a long struggle with cancer which she fought bravely and valiantly. She has been described as being an animal and country music lover. She liked to stay busy and could be seen working in her yards. A people person, Debra never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went. Her first priority was her family—she loved her three grandsons and cherished the time spent with them. Christmas was her favorite time of the year—her favorite part was spending time with her loved ones, celebrating the birth of her Lord. Even though the void left by her passing cannot be filled, her memory lives on forever.
Debra is preceded in death by her father, John Edward Norris. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Tiffany N. Norris (John Williams); three grandsons, Johnathan, Phillip and Michael; mother, Elizabeth Weatherford; sister, Dianne Norris; and many friends.
