Danny grew up in the panhandle area, graduated from Warren County High School and worked for Stapleton Garment Company, Augusta Sportsman, Howard Sheppard before driving for UPS, a job he loved. Being musically inclined, he could play the guitar, banjo—anything with strings—and could often times be found strumming and picking. This relaxed him and soothed his soul. Danny loved to travel, especially trips to the mountains with Helen being his favorite place to visit. He enjoyed working in the yard—growing flowers and cutting grass. He found this also a time of peaceful relaxation. When not at work, his canine buddy, Sapphire, was his constant companion and wherever Danny was, Sapphire was right there with him. His was a “common-sense conservative” and enjoyed political discussions, which he could do for hours. Danny had a gentle, caring spirit and was kind and helpful to everyone. Being a very social person, he wanted everyone happy—he did not like discord and always promoted unity and peace. A loyal friend, he was generous to a fault. Above all else, he loved his family—he would do anything for his bride and the grandchildren who stole his heart. Danny was a simple man who lived a simple life filled with love.
