A lifelong resident of Glascock County, Brian was born on June 22, 1975. He was a fighter who courageously battled cancer since 2006 and the debilitating aftermath of surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Despite the challenges he faced, he maintained a strong faith and exhibited an amazing strength while remaining his out-going, fun-loving self throughout his life.
Brian began working at J.M. Huber Corp immediately after graduating from Glascock County Consolidated High School in 1993. He dedicated his time and efforts to the company until 2003. Brian then pursued short-haul trips transporting trailers until he could no longer do so.
An individual of integrity and high moral character, Brian approached everything he did with passion and wholehearted commitment. Whether it was his work or personal endeavors, he always remained fully invested. Brian's selflessness radiated in all aspects of his life as he continuously put others and their needs before himself. Known for his kind and generous nature, he touched the hearts of many people throughout his lifetime.
Outside of work and family life, Brian had a range of hobbies and interests that brought him immense joy. He had a great passion for hunting, particularly deer and turkey. Brian loved the thrill of dove shoots and the serenity of going to the lake, where he enjoyed water skiing. In his leisure time, he often found solace watching Walker Texas Ranger or riding horses and going on trail rides. Brian had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and cherished every moment spent in nature. Furthermore, he was known for his love of cookouts and pig-pickings, especially relishing BBQ from Crossroads BBQ.
Family was Brian's top priority and his unwavering love for them knew no bounds. He is survived by his loving parents, Priscilla Beckworth Irby and Reginald G. Irby; cherished children, Jacob B. Irby (Casey) and Gracie I. Hadden (William); precious grandchildren, Lukas Vincent Hadden, Makenzie-Adeline Irby, Marshall Brian Irby; devoted brother, Dana F. Irby (Holly), as well as nieces Bailey Dewey (Randy) and Lorelei Irby. In addition to his immediate family, Brian leaves behind numerous extended family members and countless friends whose lives he deeply impacted. Honored to serve as pallbearers include Jacob Irby, Dana Irby, William Hadden, Michael Brown, Chris Cason, and Steven Usry.
Brian will be remembered for his fighting spirit, his unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and his joyful approach to life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him but we have the hope and assurance that he is now pain-free with a new body in his eternal home. Rest in peace, Brian.
