Boyd Henry Williams

Avera, GA  –               Boyd Henry Williams, 64, loving son of the late Ernie Mae Gibbs Williams and the late John Henry Williams, entered into his eternity Monday, October 3, 2022.  A service to celebrate his life will be held in the James Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, October 16, 2022 with Rev. Ed Chance officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Boyd grew up in Avera and graduated from Wrens High School, after which he obtained his Bachelor degree, majoring in accounting. He worked as an accountant and auditor for many years with The Pumping Station (TPS) in Augusta.  Having major heart problems and experiencing health decline, Boyd could no longer work.  After going on disability, he moved back to Avera in 2010. Boyd enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and watching TV shows like NCIS and CSI with his favorite station being IDTV.  He loved to cook for family, friends and neighbors and was known for canning and preserving vegetables.  A highlight for him was going all out hosting Christmas dinner for his family and friends.  Boyd was extremely loyal to his family and loved each in his own way.

Boyd’s survivors include his brother, Judson Williams (Ann) of Lilburn GA; niece, Wendy Williams Breda (Justin); nephew, Ben Williams (Jennifer); great nieces and nephews, Madison Breda, Braxton Breda, Megan Williams and Braden Williams; cousins, other extended family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Braxton Breda, Justin Breda, Tim Keen, Ben Williams, Braden Williams and Craig Williams.

The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home from 1:00 – 2:30 PM prior to the funeral service Sunday, October 16, 2022.
