Audrey Marie Clark, 68, born on January 2, 1957, in Wrens, peacefully transitioned to her eternal home in Heaven Tuesday evening, February 18, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta.
A dedicated homemaker, Audrey devoted herself to creating a loving and safe haven for her family. Her nurturing spirit was not confined to her home; she also worked at several local businesses, including the Oxford Shirt Factory, Atwell Pecan Company, Maxway, and Stevenson Sportswear.
Audrey spent the majority of her life in Jefferson County until she relocated to Gibson in 2017. She attended school in Matthews, before she married and proudly started her family. Her love for her family was unconditional and unwavering. A testament to her fun-loving personality, she had a beautiful smile that could light up any room and was known for her ability to make others smile as well. A true people person, she cherished her moments spent with family and friends alike. Having a servant’s heart, she found joy in serving others.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, as she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Audrey actively served as a member of Praising Him Ministries, where she found joy and comfort in her church and church family.
In her leisure time, Audrey found pleasure in working on word puzzles and games, watching the Hallmark Channel and Game Show Channel, and traveling, particularly to the mountains. She enjoyed long conversations over the phone with friends, especially her pastor, further demonstrating her caring nature and deep connections with everyone around her.
Audrey leaves behind her beloved children, Lewis “Buddy” Farrer Jr. (April M.) of Morristown TN, Leon Farrer (April), and Brandi Ivester. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Margaret York (Johnny) of Wadley, Dianne Irby (William) of Augusta, Karen Reese (Emmett) of Hephzibah, Sharon Wheeler of Swainsboro, and L.C. Clark (Teresa) of Bartow, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, church family, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was the cherished daughter of Lena Amerson Clark and Leon Clark, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her sister Sylvia Day and brother-in-law Roger Wheeler.
The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to her beloved church—Praising Him Ministries, 1482 Hwy 88 W, Stapleton, GA 30823.
The family will greet friends at Praising Him Ministries from 6:00 – 8:00PM Saturday evening, February 22, 2025. Funeral services to celebrate Audrey’s life will be held at the church at 2:00PM Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2025, with the Rev. Richard Stavely officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers will include J. T. Thorne, and all of her grandchildren—Victoria Bunch, Leon Farrer Jr., Dylan Bliss, Shelby Farrer, Brianna Bliss, Hunter Ivester, Savannah Farrer, Legion Farrer, Alyissa Ivester, Memphis Farrer and Colton Allen. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
