Annette “Net” Rose Giesbrecht Miller
Stapleton, GA – Annette Rose Giesbrecht Miller, 59, unexpectedly left us with shattered hearts due to complications of COVID on Monday, September 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held in the Harmony Springs Mennonite Church at 10:30 A.M. Saturday morning, October 2, 2031. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Because of the family’s respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during any gathering.
Loving wife, mother and "grammy", Annette was born July 31, 1962 to Darlene and Frank Giesbrecht at Waynesboro. She had a pleasant, happy childhood growing up on the dairy farm with her four sisters. Being next-to-the-youngest, she enjoyed working together with her family and was a peacemaker. Annette received her education at Pinecrest Mennonite School and was baptized in March, 1976 by Ken Diller and quietly lived out her faith. In her youth and for a short time after getting married, she worked at Atwell Pecan Company, Delilah Curtain Factory and Old Capitol Inn. Known as “Net”, she married her life’s companion, Kenneth Miller, on August 14, 1983, sharing 38 wonderful years together. She was the heart of their home and family and made her family feel loved and accepted—each one had a special place in her heart. A selfless, giving and caring person, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Holidays, snacks after church, and talking on the phone were all important to her. She loved being outside working in the yard with her flowers. Net has left us many memories.
Net was preceded in death by her parents, one nephew and one great-nephew. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Ken Miller; children, Clay and Jennifer, Cameron and Chayann, Courtney and Dawn—all of Louisville—and Chandra and Thierry Andries of Roxton Falls, Quebec; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Cindy and Danver Nichols of Arcadia FL; Connie and Steve Peters of Louisville, Cheryl and Dave Hibner of Stapleton, and Kim and Bryan Koehn of Monterey TN; parents-in-law, Winston and Betty Miller of Stapleton; brother-in-law, Kevin and Angie Miller of Stover MO; sisters-in-law, Kris and Sheldon Giesbrecht of Butte City CA, and Kim and Nathan Unruh of Wrens; many nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
The family will hold a “drop-in” visitation at Harmony Springs Mennonite Church from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 1, 2021.
