Allison Marie Sasser
Louisville, GA – Allison Marie Sasser, 21, loving daughter of Sharon Franks Sasser and James Robert Sasser Jr., entered into her eternal rest Monday evening, March 23, 2020 at her residence. Because of the current ordinances regarding COVID-19 and the family’s respect and concern for public health and safety, the family has chosen to hold private celebration of life services at 2:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon, May 31, 2020 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Shoemaker officiating.
A lifelong resident of Louisville, Allison was the Salutatorian of the 2016 Jefferson County High School graduating class. She loved theater and watching movies with her family. Having a photographic memory and an inquisitive mind, she loved to read and to learn. For her, there was nothing like a good book and/or a good movie. Allison was all about nature and was an Ecology/Biology major at Augusta University where she was schedule to graduate this year. Her passion was animals—all types of animals, even snakes—and the protection of their environment. She was very organized, not only in thought but also in her physical world—everything had its place. Allison has been described as being “quirky” and having a straight-forward, no-nonsense approach with people and life itself. This loving daughter, devoted sister and loyal friend had a great impact on her community and the people she met. Her memory will be treasured and honored, and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she has left behind.
Allison is preceded in death by her grandfathers, William Franks and James R. Sasser Sr. Other survivors include her two siblings, Jayson Sasser and Samantha Howard (Scott); grandmothers, Carol Franks and Laura Daniel; cousins, extended family, classmates and many friends.
Because of her love for all animals and living creatures, the family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Allison Sasser Rescue Memorial Fund, c/o Sandersville Veterinary Clinic, 507 Industrial Drive, Sandersville GA 31082. This organization was dear to Allison’s heart as they rescue and help animals in our area.
