Agnes Irby Holley
Stapleton, GA – Agnes Lucille Irby Holley, 81, loving wife of the late Eugene Holley, entered into rest early Monday morning, April 29, 2013 at Brentwood Nursing Home in Waynesboro. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Keysville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Keysville GA with Rev. Randy Monck officiating.
One of seven children born to the late Lula Thompson and Seth Irby, Agnes grew up in Jefferson County and has always lived in the CSRA area. She loved her Lord and was very active in the churches she attended. Agnes’ greatest pleasure was her family, especially her sons and grandsons. Though her life was not an easy one, this simple, loving woman fought a good fight and kept the faith, having the peace the passes all understanding sustain her til the end.
Agnes was also preceded in death by six siblings, Mary Farthing, Beulah Mae Barrow, Ruth Irby, Sam Irby, Fred Irby and Albert Irby. Those left to cherish her memories are her three sons, Franklin Edward Holley (Susan), Carlton Lee Holley (Keri) and Larry Eugene Holley (Regina); one sister, Martha Murray; two grandsons, Frank Holley, Jr. and Brock Holley; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Anderson, Edward Barrow, Robert Barrow and Frank Holley, Jr.
The family will receive friends prior to the graveside services from 12:30-1:30PM on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at James Funeral Home.
